Mr. Tan Xuguang, born in Weifang, Shandong Province, member of the Communist Party of China (CPC), doctor of Engineering of Tianjin University, is a senior engineer. Currently, he is the Chairman and General Manager of Shandong Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd., and also the Secretary of the commission of the CPC of Shandong Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd., Chairman and Chief Scientist of Weichai Holding Group Co., Ltd., Chairman of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd., Chairman, Chief Engineer of Weichai Power Co., Ltd., Director of the State Key Laboratory of Engine and Powertrain System and Director of Expert Committee of National Center of Technology Innovation for Fuel Cell.
Member of the 14th CPPCC National Committee, Member of the Population, Resources and Environment Committee, Vice President of China Federation of Industrial Economics, Vice President of China Enterprise Confederation/China Entrepreneur Association, Vice Chairman of Chineses Mechanical Engineering Society, and Vice Chairman of Chinese Society for Internal Combustion Engines.
He has been engaged in internal combustion engine and power system technology innovation and engineering management for more than 40 years, and is an industry leader and technology entrepreneur in this field, with a high influence in the global industry. He has won the National Model Worker (2005, 2020), the "Most beautiful striver" in the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China, the National Outstanding Entrepreneur, the Guanghua Engineering Science and Technology Prizes, the National Innovation Award, the Leonardo International Award in Italy, the Highest Science and Technology Award in Shandong Province, the Qilu Outstanding Talent Award, the Outstanding Entrepreneur in Shandong Province, and the Taishan industry leading talent.
