In the morning of October 31, 2020, the Ninth International Conference of ICE Reliability Technology was opened in Jinan, Shandong. 1,500 online and offline experts, scholars and industry representatives gathered to discuss the basic theory and key common technologies of internal combustion engine reliability, promote the chain innovation of the whole internal combustion engine industry, promote the advancement of China's internal combustion engine reliability technology, and promote the high-quality development of China's manufacturing industry.
This academic event was hosted by the State Key Laboratory of Engine Reliability. Since 2012, the Conference has been successfully held for eight sessions and has become an important platform for the improvement and development of reliability technology in the internal combustion engine industry.
Jin Donghan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, chairman of the Chinese Internal Combustion Engine Society, and president of Tianjin University attended the conference and delivered a speech. He hopes that the Conference can further promote the in-depth integration of enterprise-universty-research, promote the rapid progress of China’s key core technologies of internal combustion engines, and continuously improve the competitiveness of China’s internal combustion engines.
Tan Xuguang, vice chairman of the Chinese Internal Combustion Engine Society and director of the State Key Laboratory of Engine Reliability, said that the world is undergoing major changes unseen in a century. He hopes that this platform will adhere to the concept of openness, sharing and win-win, and work with colleagues across the industry to continue to accelerate the core technology of internal combustion engine and major innovation breakthrough, and contribute more to the development of the world internal combustion engine industry and the promotion of China's internal combustion engine industry to the world-class!
In the same afternoon, the press conference of the Second World Congress on Internal Combustion Engines was held in Jinan at the same time. Tan Xuguang, vice chairman of the Chinese Internal Combustion Engine Society and chairman of this Congress, attended and shared with reporters his views on the development of the internal combustion engine industry, energy conservation and emission reduction, and reliability technology improvement. He hopes that through this platform, we can collect industry wisdom, jointly promote the progress of internal combustion engine technology, and lead the development of the world's internal combustion engine industry.
