On March 1, local time in the United States, Weichai America’s three gas-powered engine products were certified by EPA: WP10GNA, WP10GTA, and WP13GTA. Together with the previously certified WP6GNA and WP6GTA, the five gas-powered engines developed by Weichai for the North American market have all passed the certification, marking that Weichai’s products will get full access to the non-road gas-powered engine market in North America.
The North American market has strict emission standards for non-road engines. At present, all of the five products come equipped with advanced E-controls technology, as well as theoretical air-fuel ratio plus three-way catalytic technology. The fuel features a wide range of applications and the air-fuel ratio is strictly controlled in a closed-loop way, making the engines close to zero emissions.
