At theMesse Frankfurt 2015 held in Shanghai on December 2, Weichai showcased its WP13 and WP3 engines.With a strong R&D strength and technical resources, Weichai Power upgraded WP13 based on WP12, increasing the power to 550 horsepower, the displacement to 12.54 liters and the maximum torque to 2300 N•m. The engine meeting the China V emission standards will soon be implemented.
WP13 uses electronically controlled high-pressure common rail fuel injection system to help reduce emissions, noise and fuel consumption. The four-valve structure brings higher intake efficiency, and enhanced torque and power.
The WP3 series LD truck engine displayed at the same time has a displacement of 2.67 liters and a maximum torque 165 N•m. The engine meets China V emission standard. By improving the cylinder head cover seal forms, oil pan structure and gear chamber front cover structure, noise and vibration are significantly reduced, and the engine body and cylinder are more stable and reliable.
For heavy-duty trucks that are mainly used to load large amounts of goods, the horsepower is valued by users. Weichai improved HD truck engines to have more reliable performance. Compared with the same type of product on the market, WP3'soptimized fuel system also greatly improved its fuel economy.
