Since Oct.24th, Weichai has successively held technical upgrading seminar for agriculture equipment, trucks, buses, etc. Reliability became "maximum trump card" of 2016 Weichai product technical upgrading. What support Weichai "reliability" advantage becoming its "exclusive advantage", as well as representing the highest level of Chinese ICE manufacture is ——Weichai Key Laboratory for ICE Reliability's being elected as enterprise State Key Laboratory.
On Oct.14th, Ministry of Science & Technology officially released the 3rd batch of enterprise State key laboratory list. As the leader of ICE industry, Weichai Key Laboratory for ICE Reliability has passed the deliberation.
In order to further improve the layout of Enterprise State Key Laboratory, the 3rd batch of Enterprise State Key Laboratory was started to build from 2014. According to experts' assessment and consultation, 75 labs including Weichai Key Laboratory for ICE Reliability were approved.
Key Laboratory for ICE Reliability has a total investment of 550 million yuan, building area of 11,200 square meters, and scientific equipment of 260 million yuan, which satisfies the research need of engine reliability, key part reliability, reliability prediction and assessment. The lab has passed national C-NAS Accreditation and German TÜV, and its equipment has reached international advanced and domestic leading level, as well as the most complete and most capable laboratory in China. Preproduction center has an investment of 250 million yuan, it has five-axis machining centers, quick car, and other high-precision equipment which fully meet the needs of testing parts; it's also equipped with separate utility station house which could guarantee wind, electricity, gas, oil, cold and heating supply.
The lab has a total of 138 employees, 120 of which are permanent employees, 4 of which are national "Thousand Talents Program" scholars, 8 of which are Shandong government "Taishan Scholars", and 50 of which have senior titles. They work in three directions: engine reliability, key part reliability, reliability prediction and assessment.
Since the "Twelfth Five-year Plan" starts, the lab has taken the lead of 8 national science & technology plan project, participated in 6 national science & technology plan project, taken the lead of 93 Shandong science & technology plan project, and received more than14 science & technology progress awards above provincial level. It also hosted and participated in the establishment of 21 national and industry standards and was granted 675 patents, published 47 papers, including 3 SCI papers and 11 EI papers.
National Key Laboratories of Enterprises are an important part of the national technology innovation system. After passing the deliberation, Weichai ICE Key Laboratory for Reliability will do basic application research and pre-competition common technology research, make international standards, national and industry standards based on the needs of society and industry, gather and cultivate talents, lead and promote the industry technical progress.
