On September 11, 2015, Tianjin International Passenger Cars, Buses and Maintenance Tools Exhibition (PBME 2015) was held in Tianjin Meijiang International Exhibition Center. Weichai showcased five bus engines which are the fruits of its "Intelligent Power Platform" on the exhibition. At the same time, the newly developed WE52 series plug-in new energy system showed Weichai's latest all-round technology and comprehensive strength in terms of the gas engine, diesel engine and new energy systems.
WP7 is a 7L engine carefully crafted to meet standards from China IV to Euro VI. The compact structure of the integral heat shield can effectively reduce overall noise and improve vehicle comfort and reliability.It is the perfect choice for passenger cars of 10-11 meters and buses of 10.5-13.7 meters.
WP6 engine has excellent economic performance: the use of center high cooling structure enhances the effect of engine cooling and reduces fuel consumption by 6g/kW.h. Compared with competing products, theengine fuel consumption is 1-2L/ 100km lower, which makes it the best choice for a fuel-efficient mid-size vehicle.
WP4.1 engine uses electronically controlled high-pressure common rail technology and SCR system to achieve low noise, low vibration and greatriding comfort.
Weichai also brought two new natural gas engines to the exhibition - WP7NG and WP5NG. Both engines use dual parallel generator structure for the vehicle centralized power. Aside from the compact structure, high reliability, high power generation capacityand low costs, they also have the features of promoting energy conservation and emission reduction.
