The first batch of Weichai's independently developed new energy powertrain was successfully assembled and ready for vehicle application.
It is reported that this batch of plug-in hybrid powertrain is the latest result of Weichai's independent research and development. Based on the technology advantages of Weichai Power and Fast, the new powertrain combines well-received parts in the market, Weichai WP6 gas engine, Fast AMT gearbox and Weichai independently developed electronic control system, and can be applied to buses and highway coaches varying from 10 to 13 meters.
The powertrain enjoys a couple of good features such as cost-effective, energy-saving, environment-friendly, safe and reliable, and reaches the State V emission standard. The optimized system ensures the high efficiency of the engine and motor. At the same time, its light weight made it even more energy-saving. The powertrain can operate at pure electric, engine direct-drive, hybrid and other modes. The powertrain has high torque at low speed and thus deliver good power performance. When driving at medium or high speed, the engine and the motor work simultaneously. The gear shifting solution makes the shifting short and smooth. In terms of reliability, the powertrain is developed in strict accordance with the R&D processes and specifications and has passed the high load test and road tests of various stringent road conditions.
