On April 20, at 10:00 am, the 2024 World Congress on Internal Combustion Engines was grand opened in Tianjin. Wan Gang, President of China Association for Science and Technology, made a speech at the opening ceremony. Zhang Gong, Vice Secretary of the CPC Municipal Committee and Mayor of Tianjin, and Jin Donghan, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, President of the Chinese Society of Internal Combustion Engines and President of Tianjin University, gave a speech at the opening ceremony. Under the global attention, the Conference released the latest technological achievements of China's internal combustion engine industry - the world's base engine brake thermal efficiency 53.09% diesel engine, marking the Chinese internal combustion engine industry once again reaching the world's scientific and technological peak. More than 1,700 guests such as Chinese and foreign internal combustion engine society, Tianjin University, global academician experts, research institutes and other guests witnessed this historical moment.

The world's diesel engine with base engine brake thermal efficiency of 53.09% is the fourth time Weichai Power uses scientific and technological innovation to foster new quality productivity.
